Mr. Green is only going to use natural sources of feed stock despite the fact the technology will allow the use of plastics and synthetic rubbers like tires as a raw material. We only consider natural sources of feed stock like biomass that is not a source of food. Examples are agricultural waste like corn stover, animal waste, forest waste like over grown under brush, yard clippings, raw sewage, paper products (recyclable but also carbon neutral). The list can go on but basically anything that is not plastic, synthetic rubber, or metals all of which are recyclable.

The reason is two fold. The plastics found on consumer goods are generally recyclable, and since one of our goals is to reduce the demand for oil, by consuming these products we would be working against that goal. Instead Mr. Green encourages recycling them to reduce the demand for new plastics made from oil.
